Rising Ghanaian musician M Y Kay has joined Jupiter Empire Records on a five-year deal.
Jupiter Empire CEO Derrick Gyimah explained the purpose of the signing, stating that the company has “fantastically embraced M Y Kay's information that shook Ghana, and therefore Jupiter Empire is ready to support him with the necessary resources.” in the world.
This was officially announced at the signing and opening ceremony held at Sokode Lokoe (Rooftop Radiance fuel station) on Friday, October 21, 2022.
According to Aheko Richard Mawusi (Icon, the Business Manager), this is a 360-degree management deal with the record company that manages all commercial activities of the M Y Kay brand.
“We are going to officially work with M Y Kay for the next 5 years. It’s going to be a 360 [business] relationship where Jupiter Empire will be managing M Y Kay — Jupiter Empire will be taking care of his recordings, distributions, and marketing as well. Everything that has to do with artiste management and his brand as M Y Kay, Jupiter Empire is taking care of that, from today”.
Participants included Alberti Mario Noretti, editor-in-chief of the Ho news agency, Derrick Gyimaah, Mcee Flexal, Aheko Richard Mawusi (Icon business manager), Prince Yayra, also known as Biggykeys (fire officer), and journalist Dowofefia Kwomi Sheshie of V1 TV and CEO of Street Empire and his team.
Jupiter Empire also revealed, “Dhip Kase [DZANKU DESMOND] is one of the new artists we've been working with for a long time with M Y Kay.”
