Vanilla Karr releases debut album, Bioko.


 Award-winning Equatorial Guinean singer Vanilla Karr is twirling the right strings and plugs, and after months of preparation, she has finally released her debut album, Bioko.

The 10 songs on this album deal with the themes of love, cultural appropriation and the experiences of artiste who have been in the music industry for nearly 10 years. The album also epitomizes creativity and the desire to bring the local sounds of Africa to the world.


The album Bioko, recorded and produced in Ghana, is dedicated to the island of Bioko in Equatorial Guinea, northwest of the mainland. To the north, Malabo is the country's capital and home to a neo-Gothic cathedral.

Before the release of the album, Vanilla karrs had a string of hits such as “Here for You” and “Contigo” featuring Golden Boy of Kiko from Togo. She also made hits with the Ghanaians Bisa Kdei, Capasta Abandi and Kollins, who now live in the French capital, Paris.

Vanilla karr presents herself as one of the most prominent artists in the Central African country of Equatorial Guinea, with a significant presence in Cameroon, Togo, and other neighboring countries in the region.

She currently sells her music independently under Vanilla Karr Music and Digital Music Management Company of Digishare Africa. Bioko is available on all music streaming platforms worldwide.
