The 21-year-old has not played for Gareth Southgate's Three Lions for almost two years and recently turned down a call-up to the Under-21s.
Despite three victories in England, Hudson-Odoi can still switch nationalities. This allows players who have played no more than 3 matches to transfer after the age of 21 following the change in FIFA rules in September 2020.
Hudson-Odoi's dual citizenship comes from his father, Bismarck, who played football for Hearts of Oak in Ghana. Hudson-Odoi recently vacationed in Ghana in January 2022 and last summer.
When asked if he was considering transferring, he said, “I'll wait until that time comes.” Hudson-Odoi is said to have met with President Nana Akufo-Ado and representatives of the Ghana Football Association.
