"It's Rebellious To Declare My Political Ambitions"-Benjilo

"I have the passion to help in the development of my community in the areas of health and education hence the establishment of Benjilo Foundation. I am doing this devoided of politics. It will be premature for me to declare my intention to contest the parliamentary seat of Abuakwa South, since we just finished an election that saw competent people being elected to spearhead the affairs for the constituency with the likes of Hon Samuel Atta Kyea. In the appropriate time when the party opens up for nomination, my intentions would be made  public."Mr Benjamin Arkaah Otoo.

Mr Benjamin Arkaah Otoo was reacting to a question asked by a section of the media concerning his ambitions to contest the parliamentary seat in Abuakwa South Constituency after a colourful endorsement ceremony held on the 4th of October, 2021, at the Abuakwa South Municipal Assembly Hall in Kibi, Eastern Region of Ghana, that saw the president's nominee of the Municipal Chief Executive's position, Honourable Akosua Asabea Annor, attaining an overwhelming 100 percent yes votes from all 35 assembly members including government appointees.

He added that, the Nana Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party's administration has taken bold steps to solve the youth unemployment problem in the country since they took over with the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO).

"As I speak with you now, the Unemployment Graduates Association Ghana had during the tenure President John Dramani Mahama and NDC is a thing of the past as the NPP government led by His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo Akufo-Addo has sent a circular to all government institutions to absorb NABCO personnel currently in office." Mr Benjamin Arkaah Otoo hinted.

Mr Benjamin Arkaah Otoo popularly called Benjilo, a chartered accountant who is the director of finance at the Youth Employment Authority (YEA), a philanthropist and founder of Benjilo Foundation has earlier stated that, his foundation is ever ready to sponsor up to five brilliant but needy students to the senior secondary school and beyond from Wirenkyiren Amanfrom in the Abuakwa South Constituency of the Eastern Region of Ghana.

The Foundation also presented two hundred pieces of mono desks to the St. Stephen's Presbyterian Senior High and Technical School(STEPSS), Akyem Asiakwa, Abuakwa South Constituency in the Eastern Region of Ghana, on 26th August, 2021 after the school's management appealed for support from the outfit.

The presentation he said, was the first institutional donation since the beginning of the Foundation and it is just the first of many more to come.

Mr Benjamin Arkaah Otoo said, this is his way of giving back to his community.
