Fanteakwa North Confirms Sir COT As DCE

 The President’s nominee for the Fanteakwa North District Assembly, Hon Charles Oware Tweneboah popularly called Sir COT, has retained his position as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area after a voting exercise held on Friday 1st October, 2021 at the Salvation Army Church auditorium in Akyem Begoro, Eastern Region of Ghana.

Hon Charles Oware Tweneboah, successfully garnered a total of 38 votes from 40 assembly members and government appointees in the area representing 95%, thereby confirming him as the DCE for the second time.

The election, superintended by officers from the Electoral Commission (EC), was smooth and transparent as all assembly members as well as observers who attended the ceremony cheered him on throughout the process.

In an interview with the press shortly after being declared DCE, Hon Charles Oware Tweneboah conveyed his gratitude, particularly to President Akufo-Addo and the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon Seth Acheampong, for the confidence reposed in him and support he had enjoyed over the years.

He also thanked the assembly members and assembly workers, nananom, opinion leaders and the entire district for their continues support and pledged to continue to work with all for the socio-economic development of the district and Ghana as a whole.

The Eastern Regional Minister, Hon Seth Acheampong, in his remarks said, the second nomination of Hon Charles Oware Tweneboah by the President is a clear indication of the level of confidence the President has in him.

He added that, there would be no development without peace therefore, peace should be the hallmark of all.

He further admonished the DCE ,to work hand-in-hand with all stakeholders to ensure the development of the district.
