Torrential Rain Rips Off Roofing Of A House In Akyem Old-Tafo

An old "Ata Kwame" building of about 150yrs old compound house constructed of mud sand at Old Tafo-Akim, house number D13 in the Abuakwa North Municipality of the Eastern Region of Ghana, has had part of its roof ripped off after a heavy down pour which started at 2:30pm and lasted for about an hour today 12th September, 2021.

No death was recorded .
Two rooms were affected with two families displaced.
The displaced families call on government to come into their aide.

The Municipal National Disaster Management Organization ( NADMO) Directorate, led by Mr Stephen Osei-Wusu at the scene, accessed damage caused and recommended that, the entire building be pulled down since the whole structure is a death trap.

He further assured the displaced that, records of the disaster has been forwarded to the regional NADMO office for amicable aide.
