Sir John goes home today nearly a year after he passed on - Africantrendtv

The community of Sakora Wonoo is in a state of mourning as the mortal remains of the Former CEO of Forestry Commission, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie is laid in state.

VP Mahamudu Bawumia and his significant other are additionally supposed to be available at the burial service.

Sakora Wonoo, a generally humble community in the Ashanti Region has become the mark of combination for Ghana's political class. 

Politicians from across the different partitions have raged Wonoo today June 3, 2021 to say last goodbye to one of their own who was purportedly lost to Covid. 

Sir John, a politician who was known for his clever takes on issues passed on in July 2020 and is being entombed today. 

Reports show that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, Trade Minister Alan Kyeremateng, General Secretary of the NDC, Asiedu Nketia and host of driving political figures have blockaded the town to impart their last second to Sir John. 

In spite of the two being on the contrary sides of Ghana's governmental issues, Asiedu Nketia and Sir John are known to be dear companions. 

Asiedu Nketia portrayed Sir John as a 'brother' and uncovered that the previous NPP General Secretary went through days with him when he lost his mom. 

"During the political decision appeal period, I remained by him decidedly in light of the fact that I never wanted to abandon Sir John in a particularly troublesome second. The manner in which we handled his case brought issues between every one of us and our gatherings, however we wouldn't fret since we felt that was the best approach," he said. 

"Indeed, the prior night he was placed in the case, we invested energy in the telephone. As at 1:00 am we were as yet on the telephone and I was empowering him," he said. 

"I was profoundly contacted that when my mum passed on, he went through three days at my home and it's not as though he dozed in a lodging. He went through every one of the three days at my home, we ate together, dozed together and when everyone was gone and I was feeling dismal he tried to reassure me." 

In his recognition, President Akufo-Addo lauded Sir John for his devotion to the NPP and the country. 

"Energetic aficionado of the Danquah-Dombo-Busia political custom, outstanding robust of the NPP. Solid safeguard of common liberties as a legal counselor (and) reliable disciple of the Seventh Day Adventist confidence. 

"These were the multi-layered parts of the vocation and character of Sir John which procured him incredible fondness and significant prestige," the president said.
